Web Developer at Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning (CALP) (Deadline: June 9th, 2017)

Do you want to craft your skills in developing one of the most innovative and interactive research website at UBC’s leading climate change visualization labs?

• Lead the redevelopment of the Energy Explorer website
• Prepare and deliver website work throughout our collaborative team meetings
• Work closely with researchers for creating and executing website design and interface
• Work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary team at UBC

Join us at the Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning (CALP) if you are a:

  • Current UBC Graduate student or Post-Doctoral Fellow
  • Previous experience in web development and/or other web-related work
  • Strong understanding in HTML, CSS, and Java
  • Previous experience publishing with Git
  • Preferably experience with Ninja Templates, Twitter Bootstrap, and JavaScript frameworks (i.e. Node.js)
  • Experience with web mapping frameworks (i.e. Leaflet, CartoDB, Mapbox) are also strongly desired
  • Interested in climate change and sustainability issues is an added bonus
