Sessional Teaching 2017-2018 – Wood 225 – Communications Strategies (Deadline: July 31, 2017)

The Department of Wood Science invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach a 3-credit course “Communications Strategies”. The course will be offered in the spring term of 2017W (January 2, 2018 to April 30, 2018). Four sections of the course are to be offered.

The successful candidate should have at least a Master’s and experience in teaching writing strategies at the university level. Demonstrated experience with Forestry/Natural Resource communication examples are desirable.

Candidates should include with their letter of application:

  • a curriculum vitae (detailing post-secondary teaching experience)
  • a statement of their approach to teaching and student learning

Applicants should also arrange to have two confidential letters of reference (hard copy) sent to the Program Director, Wood Products Processing, Dr. Simon Ellis.

All positions are subject to funding and are governed by UBC’s “Agreement on Conditions of Appointment for Sessional and Part-time Faculty Members.”
