At UBC Forestry we value lifelong connections with our students and alumni - in fact, while we are one of the smallest Faculties at UBC, we are proud to say we have the most involved alumni! We are regularly in touch with over 3,800 former students who are working and living around the world.
In speaking with these students and alumni about their experiences at UBC throughout the years, many remember fondly the activities they enjoyed with the Forestry Undergraduate Society, the various professors who made such an impact on their academic lives and future careers, the early days when the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest "cabins" were just snow covered tents, and more recent developments such as taking graduate classes in the Centre for Advanced Wood Processing.
All of these activities and events are a part of the rich university life here at UBC - a university life that does not have to end after graduation! We readily encourage all our alumni to not only continue to stay in touch with the staff, faculty, and former classmates at UBC, but also to come back and get involved at our annual events!
Please continue to explore our "alumni" section to learn more about upcoming reunions, new developments for UBC, and to see how you can get more involved in the Faculty!
