Amizade
Amizade was started with the idea of saving the rainforest by helping
the people of the rainforest. The travel programs are a mix of community
service and recreation. Volunteers get to participate in the culture
of the region where they are traveling. Programs are offered in the
Brazilian Amazon, the Bolivian Andes, Australia, the Navajo Nation,
and the Greater Yellowstone Region.

Volunteers Australia
Conservation Volunteers Australia is Australia's largest practical
conservation organization. There are opportunities to organize volunteer
placements before you get there and after you arrive.

CUSO
CUSO is a Canadian organization which
supports alliances for global social justice. We work with people striving
for freedom, gender and racial equality, self-determination and cultural
survival. We achieve our goals by sharing information, human and material
resources, and by promoting policies for developing global sustainability.
CUSO's objectives: 1. To provide opportunities for Canadians to volunteer
in developing countries through strategic programming initiatives with
partners; 2. To establish cooperative relationships with international
organizations engaged in activities of a similar nature; 3. To increase
public awareness around the issues in international development and
encourage Canadians to participate.

Solutions
Their short and long term programs in India, Peru, and the Himalayas
include enivronmental and conservation education with a focus on caring
for children.
Earthwatch
Based out of the USA, Earthwatch places volunteers in teams
throughout the world in areas such as biodiversity, endangered ecosystems,
oceans, and Global Change. Projects run throughout the year. Must buy
a membership in order to participate.
Ecovolunteer
Their goal is to give world-wide conservation
projects a chance to get the manpower they need and nature enthusiasts
the possibility to become more active. You can choose a trip by the
place you would like to visit, the species you are interested in helping
protect, or by using their calendar of trip times to find one that suits
you.
