Are you seeking a work-related volunteer experience? If yes, then the Volunteering Program is the place for you!
The Volunteering Program provides the tools for UBC students to participate
in environmental science, conservation, and/or community-based volunteer
activities. We aim to help aspiring
environmental science professionals gain valuable work experience
using their practical skills in addition to that obtained in classroom
and field exercises while helping and contributing in the community.
Volunteering promotes linkages between the environment, communities,
and education, and strengthens these linkages by connecting student
volunteers with environmental organizations and community projects.
Natural Resources Volunteers Program Goals:
- To help UBC students achieve meaningful volunteer placements in order to provide them with experience pertaining to future career paths.
- To help environmental science, conservation and/or community based organizations gain skilled UBC student volunteers.
- To maintain an informative NRVP web site that provides an effective tool to link organizations, and UBC students together.
