The latest version of SIMFOR (Version 3.01 Beta) is available for free download in zipped format. Included with the SIMFOR installation program is an example data set, containing a sample database and two "work-through" model runs. The option to load the example data set is given during the installation phase. Minimum requirements to run the program and the example set are: Pentium 75 MHz processor + 32 MB RAM. To ensure that SIMFOR can access database files, Microsoft Data Access Components must also be installed. Users of Windows NT/Millenium/98 require only the SIMFOR program and the MS Data Access Components file. To download the most recent version of MS DAC, click here. GridExplorer is an additional program developed by Arnold Moy (CACR) to work with SIMFOR and allow the easy management of grid binary data sets. Users can copy, paste and rename grids without corrupting the information structure.
