How Does It Work?

The program matches junior and senior undergraduate students from Forest Sciences, Natural Resources Conservation, Wood Products Processing and Forestry (Resources Management and Operations) with UBC Forestry alumni and industry professionals. Participants are matched into groups of 3, called triads. Each triad consists of a junior student, a senior student and alumni/professional, and meets at least 5 times between October and March.

Optional Mentor Orientation (mentors only) October 27th (1 hr. before Kick-off event)
Kick-off Event: mentees and mentors meet October 27th
First meeting with mentor (arranged by mentees) By November 20th
Optional Mentor Pro-D Event January TBA
Second contact with mentor (arranged by mentees) By February 1, 2017
Reflection assignment due (submitted by mentees) By February 29, 2017
Third contact with mentor (arranged by mentees) By March 15, 2017
Year End Celebration (mentees and mentors share experiences) End of March 2017
